If you have been following Editors since the post-punk revival of the 2000s, you know how quickly their sound has evolved without losing its core: tight rhythms, dark guitars, and that deep, unmistakable voice of Tom Smith. What started with the nervous urgency of The Back Room and An End Has a Start gradually shifted toward more synths and electronic tension, especially since In This Light and On This Evening. After the lineup change in 2012, there was more room for atmospheric layers and a broader, dark-pop approach, which the studio has since explored further.
Live, Editors continue to balance between melody and menace: sharp hooks, driving basslines, and a sound that leans as much on rock as on pulsating electronics. With EBM, that industrial, synth-driven side is even more prominent in the set, without the emotional punch disappearing. On February 19, 2027, Editors will come to the AFAS Dome in Antwerp for a concert that can bring together both the early guitar tracks and the later electronic work.
