Communion ONE presents Hovvdy at MOTH Club in London on August 29, 2026. The Austin duo, Charlie Martin and Will Taylor, has built a discreet but steady path through intimate indie rock, indie pop and slowcore, driven by two intertwined voices and a taste for calm melodies. Since their early releases in the mid-2010s, Hovvdy have kept things simple: measured tempos, understated production, and songs that feel written from everyday life rather than big gestures.
Over time, their sound has opened up without losing that close-to-the-mic warmth, from the more spacious turns of Cranberry and Heavy Lifter to the brighter edges of True Love, and their self-titled 2024 album on Arts & Crafts. Live, that mix of softness and clarity takes center stage: harmonies, clean arrangements, and a slow-burning energy that pulls you in without ever raising its voice.
