If you miss that big, melodic Canadian rock sound built for loud choruses and ringing guitars, Honeymoon Suite are bringing it back on October 31, 2026 at Rogers Forum in Abbotsford. Formed in the early ’80s in Niagara Falls, Ontario, the band quickly found its lane between hard rock, AOR and radio-friendly pop rock. Built around singer Johnnie Dee and guitarist Derry Grehan, their early breakthrough “New Girl Now” set the tone: sharp hooks, glossy riffs, and that straight-to-the-point FM punch. From the self-titled Honeymoon Suite (1984) to The Big Prize and Racing After Midnight, they kept the focus on tight songwriting, big harmonies and a stadium-ready drive, without losing the grit that makes the guitars bite.
Streetheart complete the bill the same night, digging into their late-’70s roots where melodic hard rock meets a heavier, keyboard-laced AOR feel. First rising out of Regina before settling in Winnipeg, the band made its mark with albums like Meanwhile Back in Paris… and Under Heaven Over Hell, balancing originals with bold, reworked takes on classic rock staples. It’s a set built for fans who like their rock direct, sung full-throated, and carried by riffs you can lock into fast.
