Info
If you’re into alternative R&B that slips between neo-soul, airy pop and subtle electronic touches, Ravyn Lenae comes to Toronto with “Blue Island” on October 5, 2026 at History. Raised in Chicago between classical training and church singing, she’s built a sound that feels both light and precise, shaped early on with Monte Booker and the Zero Fatigue circle. From the soft glide of her first EPs to Hypnos and the more open, downtempo textures of Bird’s Eye, Ravyn Lenae plays with space, groove and melody without ever locking herself into one lane.
Opening the night, Nourished by Time (Marcus Elliot Brown) brings his own hybrid of alt R&B, synth-pop and indie electronics. Based out of Baltimore, he twists lo-fi songwriting with dancefloor instincts, post-punk edges and flashes of early ’90s R&B. From Erotic Probiotic 2 to Catching Chickens and The Passionate Ones, his tracks move fast, restless and personal, built for a room that likes its rhythm a little raw.
