If you’ve been following Hazlett since his early tracks, you already know that it all starts with writing. Born in Brisbane and based in Stockholm, the Australian songwriter crafts indie folk with pop-leaning edges, built around an acoustic guitar, smooth rhythms, and a voice that sits very close, almost at ear level. His songs move forward without fanfare, with that eye for detail that makes the difference: understated arrangements, a few discreet electronic touches, and above all melodies that linger.
After the EP Thundering Hopes and the album Bloom Mountain, Hazlett continues to explore the same sensitive zones — doubt, nostalgia, intimate relationships — playing with the balance between hushed moods and brighter, more open moments.
