La Coopérative de Mai presents: And Also The Trees.
45 years of career, 14 studio albums, and independence always carried on their shoulders, And Also The Trees deliver, at an increasingly sustained pace, unfettered and inspired albums. Free of reference to coldwave and Gothic rock, which they nevertheless helped forge alongside the Cure in the early 1980s. Inspired, for it is the band's only engine, And Also The Trees—a group that has preserved its independence in order to answer only to the injunction of its muses.
Since the early 2010s and the acoustic interlude When The Rain Comes / Driftwood, the Jones brothers' band has known a second golden age, which on stage translates into carefully crafted concerts and a growing audience. The year 2024 sees the release of Mother-of-Pearl Moon, less than two years after The Bone Carver, a delicate record with rich yet discreet orchestration, which crosses new frontiers for the group, notably with the addition of electronic parts in places.
