Rodrigo y Gabriela are back with Our Home, a new chapter in the journey of the Mexican duo formed by Rodrigo Sánchez and Gabriela Quintero. For more than twenty years, they have been carving a path in acoustic guitar, blending the heritage of rock and metal with flamenco inflections and Latin rhythms, all without a word, carried solely by the dialogue of the strings.
On stage, it plays out in two voices: Rodrigo lays down fast, clear melodic lines, while Gabriela transforms her guitar into a drum kit, with a precise percussive touch that provides the momentum. Their pieces range from a distinctly rock-driven tension to broader, almost cinematic passages, with that sense of dynamics that is their signature.
