Tarja Turunen - Frisson 2027

Tarja Turunen brings Frisson Live 2027 to the Netherlands. On 15 February 2027 the Finnish singer will perform at SPOT/De Oosterpoort in Groningen. With her classically trained soprano and a past with Nightwish, she moves between symphonic metal, power metal and an almost operatic approach. During her years with Nightwish she left her mark on Angels Fall First, Oceanborn, Wishmaster, Century Child and Once. After her departure she forged her own solo path, from Henkäys ikuisuudesta and My Winter Storm to What Lies Beneath, Colours in the Dark, The Shadow Self, In the Raw and Dark Christmas.

On stage Tarja plays with contrasts: orchestral hues alongside guitar riffs, intimacy alongside dramatic gestures. She keeps the link to the classical repertoire alive (Ave Maria – En Plein Air) and explores electronic atmospheres with Outlanders. Collaborations with the likes of Scorpions, Within Temptation and Marko Hietala illustrate her wide-ranging career, alongside appearances at festivals such as Wacken and Graspop.

Frisson Live 2027 brings these different facets together in a single show: the voice at the centre, the songs as a guide, moving from tension to stillness. Tarja appears with a band and a sound that clearly positions her universe between classical and metal, presented directly and without detour.
