Kingfishr

Kingfishr will perform on 7 December 2026 at TivoliVredenburg in Utrecht. The Irish trio from Limerick — singer/guitarist Eddie Keogh alongside McGoo and Fitz — formed during their student years and have since moved between folk and indie. Their songs are melodic and guitar-led, with spare percussion, vocal harmonies that leave plenty of space for the lyrics, and themes revolving around landscapes, family ties and the step into adulthood. The tracks often progress from understated verses to open, layered choruses; acoustic timbres are enlivened by light alt-rock accents.

On stage Kingfishr opts for a direct approach: clear arrangements, tight vocal blending and tension arcs that are calmly built. Singles like “Flowers-Fire” and “Anyway” define the palette the set draws on, with harmonies that trace the edges and guitars that hold the contours. Expect folk with an indie slant, closely focused on the song and attentive to dynamic detail, moving from quiet to outburst without letting go of the melody.
