Brunch: House Gospel Choir

House Gospel Choir reworks house, gospel and garage into massed vocal arrangements made for collective singing. Formed on the dance floor ten years ago by founder and creative director Natalie Maddix, the collective brings together singers connected by the power of voice and a shared love of club culture. On stage, they blend classic house hooks with gospel harmonies and steady grooves, inviting the audience to add its voice to the chorus. It’s a meeting point between spirituality and the energy of the dance floor, where familiar melodies are reframed through choral texture.

They perform on 20 December 2026 at Soul Mama Islington, 21 Parkfield Street, London N1 0PS. Built on the idea that we can sing together and be understood, House Gospel Choir channels festival, nightclub and everyday moments into a communal sound, moving from piano-led anthems to garage-inflected rhythms with the ease of a group shaped by a decade of live shows.
