Info
On 10 December 2026, J. Bernardt will be performing at The Melkweg in Amsterdam. Under that name, Jinte Deprez, co-founder of Balthazar, has since 2016 been building a solo universe that consciously steps away from rock boundaries. In a live setting, that translates into songs whose voice and melody are at the core, with room for subtle electronics and rhythms that feel slower, more fractured, or abrasive than tight and direct.
In his set, you can expect a mix of early solo material around Running Days, where indie pop and pop rock gently lean into R&B and soul, and the later material with which he returned on Contigo. J. Bernardt builds songs in layers: warm textures, small production details, and hooks that aren’t played out but linger. A concert for those who love pop that is just a touch offbeat, yet remains intimate.
