Jahneration

Jahneration will perform at Knust in Hamburg on 2 December 2026. The Parisian duo has blended reggae, hip-hop and dancehall since the early 2010s, first gaining attention with videos and freestyles online before bringing the project to the stage with a live band. Their self-titled debut, released in 2016, preserves the mix of sung lines, rapped passages and catchy refrains, grounded in roots influences and digital production. They followed it with Stuck in the Middle (2019) and Higher (2021), which broadened their scope—ranging from introspective pieces and up-tempo numbers to forays into urban pop hues. They sing in English and French; thematically the duo connects to the contemporary francophone reggae scene and repeatedly seeks dialogue with hip-hop. Live, Jahneration condense their tracks into a compact set where rap flows, melodic hooks and driving riddims come together. Collaborations, such as with Naâman, have shaped their trajectory; on tour they appear in clubs and at festivals across France and Europe.
