Gryffin

On November 21, 2026 at History in Toronto, Gryffin brings his melodic dance project to the stage. Behind the name is American producer and DJ Dan Griffith, a San Francisco–raised musician first trained on guitar and piano who later pivoted to electronic music. He broke through in the mid-2010s with melodic remixes of pop and indie tracks before stepping out with his own singles, including Heading Home and Whole Heart, carving a space between progressive house, tempered future bass and vocal-led songwriting. His debut album Gravity (2019) and its follow-up Alive (2022) develop that blend, pairing clear, hook-driven toplines with guitar and piano textures framed for the club.

On stage, Gryffin usually opts for a hybrid setup that links DJ performance with live instrumentation, reworking his studio cuts and collaborations with voices like Daya and peers such as Illenium, alongside newer singles. The set tends to move through buoyant builds and reflective breaks without losing the melodic thread, folding guitar riffs and piano figures into tight transitions made for a room like History.
