Default brings the The Fallout 25th Anniversary Tour to Midway Music Hall in Edmonton on October 2, 2026. Formed in Vancouver at the end of the 1990s, the band forged a sound at the junction of hard rock, post‑grunge and alternative rock: dense guitars, direct melodies and a brooding tone without tipping into metal. Dallas Smith’s tense, melodic vocals, Jeremy Hora’s guitar work, Dave Benedict’s bass and Danny Craig’s drums reconnect with the material that launched them in 2001. Expect a set built around The Fallout, with room for cuts from Elocation, One Thing Remains and Comes and Goes, revisiting those early‑2000s textures with compact arrangements, heavy riffs and choruses designed to hit hard in a live room.
Wide Mouth Mason rounds out the bill with blues‑leaning rock shaped in Saskatoon since the mid‑90s. Singer‑guitarist Shaun Verreault and drummer Safwan Javed blend blues, funk, soul and pop into grooves that stay close to the roots: riff‑forward guitar, driving rhythms and a taste for controlled improvisation. A focused live approach that sets the tone before Default’s return to their first album era.
