Fkj « Tyber Tour »

FKJ, aka French Kiwi Juice, is the project of French multi-instrumentalist Vincent Fenton. Since the early 2010s, he has shaped a fluid blend of nu jazz, electronics, R&B and French house with a soul tint, building tracks around supple grooves, keyboards, bass, guitar and hushed vocals. His 2017 debut album French Kiwi Juice set the tone with slow tempos and warm textures, followed by the stripped-back Ylang Ylang EP in 2019, the intimate Just Piano in 2021 and Vincent in 2022. The improvised session Tadow with Masego became a touchstone, and Greener with Carlos Santana underlined his taste for dialogues between funk, soul and fusion.

On the Tyber Tour, FKJ brings his live-looping approach to the Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver on April 26, 2027. Expect pieces to unfold in real time, with parts layered on the fly and space left for improvisation, breaks and detours. Between mellow chords, elastic basslines and melodic runs shaped by jazz and pop, he navigates from introspective passages to more propulsive sections without forcing the contrast, focusing on feel and pacing rather than spectacle. A set designed to breathe, evolve and keep the room in motion.
