On April 11, 2027 at La Laiterie in Strasbourg, the Mexican duo Rodrigo y Gabriela present OurHome, their new self-produced album recorded in Tokyo and the unifying theme of a concert performed entirely with acoustic guitars. For more than twenty years, Rodrigo Sánchez and Gabriela Quintero have been developing a musical language in which rhythms inspired by flamenco and Latin music intersect with rock and metal heritage, with touches of folk and hints of funk. OurHome continues this trajectory with finely honed acoustic textures, highly cinematic imagery and a look toward Japan, echoed by the presence of collaborators such as Marty Friedman and Hiromi on the record.

On stage the dialogue is direct and precise: melodic lines and razor-sharp riffs from Rodrigo, percussive strikes, rasgueados and metronomic grooves from Gabriela. The set alternates meditative passages with more nervy pieces, never overloaded, relying on attentive listening and the duo’s physical interplay. Winners of a Grammy for Mettavolution and having moved from the streets of Dublin to major international stages, they revisit their story here through recent tracks and milestones from their career, balancing inward exploration and rhythmic tension for an immersive encounter with their sound.
