Info
Pitchfork Music Festival London presents Lido Pimienta at Village Underground, London, on 5 November 2026. Born in Barranquilla and now based in Canada, Pimienta tenses the line between art pop and synth-pop while drawing from Afro-Colombian forms like cumbia and bullerengue. From her debut Color (2010) to the self-produced La Papessa (2016), which received the Polaris Music Prize in 2017, she has shaped a sound of lean electronics, upfront vocals and a steady Caribbean pulse, exploring identity, migration and cultural heritage. Miss Colombia (2020) deepened that dialogue, Lido TV (2022) widened her storytelling, and La Belleza (2025) folded in more orchestral writing. Live, these pieces shift between close-voiced intimacy and dance-leaning momentum.
Spanish producer AMORE joins the lineup, bringing a studio-driven perspective that leans into detail and dynamics, a clear counterpoint to Pimienta’s voice-led approach and a solid bridge between experimental pop and club-minded energy.
UK artist Ms Ray completes the bill, setting the tone for the night with a focused selection designed to carry the room from first beats to full release.
