Static Dress

Static Dress bring their post-hardcore and rock blend to Manchester Academy on 29 October 2026. Formed in Leeds in the late 2010s and led by Olli Appleyard, the project carves out tense, fragmented songwriting built on contrast and rupture. Riffs snap and swerve, vocals switch from clarity to abrasion, and dynamics keep the pressure high while nodding to the 2000s emo and post-hardcore lineage.

Beyond the sound, Static Dress cultivate a clear visual and narrative universe: each release is paired with graphic, video or conceptual work that extends the story around the songs. On stage, that focus translates into a set that moves quickly but stays coherent, weaving hooks and dissonance without losing the thread. The band’s path has been steady, with regular drops, occasional collaborations and a presence across UK and international stages, all feeding into a live show that spans early tracks and newer material.
