Thylacine

On March 23, 2027, at La Belle Électrique in Grenoble, Thylacine presents a live performance shaped by his electronic travel journals. Behind that name is Angevin musician William Rezé, trained on the saxophone, who blends melodic techno, ambient and downtempo influences. His jazz and classical background informs compositions built around loops, repeated motifs and slow progressions, carried by atmospheric textures.

From the start of his career he has created while traveling, using a lightweight sound-and-image capture setup. Transsiberian (2015) was born of a journey on the Trans‑Siberian, based on atmospheres collected in trains and stations. The two installments of Roads (2019, 2021) extend this travel-journal approach, between landscapes and encounters. With Timeless (2022) he reinterprets Debussy, Satie and Beethoven in a stripped-down electronic language. On stage, these elements take shape in an immersive set where the music dialogues with videos shot throughout his journeys.
