Jahneration

Jahneration arrives on March 21, 2027 at Le Bœuf sur le Toit in Lons-le-Saunier. Formed by Théo and Ogach, the duo swapped their punk rock roots for a reggae sound nourished by hip‑hop with touches of dancehall. Sung in English, French and sometimes Jamaican patois, their hooks and flows intersect over modern riddims crafted for the stage.

Since their beginnings, they have immersed themselves in Jamaica, even recording in 2017 at Tuff Gong Studios. They’ve been heard alongside Alborosie, Queen Omega, Manu Chao, Dub Inc, Danakil, and of course Naâman, whom they met as early as 2011 around “Me Nah Fed Up,” a pivotal track that fixed their reggae/hip‑hop blend.

On record, from the album Jahneration (2016) to Higher (2021) via Stuck in the Middle (2019), their range has broadened without losing the groove: supple basslines, digital beats and melodies that stick in your head. Live, Jahneration deliver a tight, generous set, alternating uptempo numbers and more introspective passages, driven by the frontmen’s rapport and a band dynamic that heats the room. It’s an opportunity to revisit their classics and explore recent material, with the direct energy that made them known on club and festival stages.
