On 19 December 2026 at Centrum Koncertowe A2 in Wrocław, Swedish metal band Avatar brings its dark, theatrical take on modern metal to the stage. Formed in Gothenburg, the quintet led by vocalist Johannes Eckerström blends melodeath roots with groove, classic heavy influences and a circus-tinged aesthetic. Makeup and character play frame songs built on chunky riffs, nimble rhythms and hooky choruses.

The show draws across the catalogue, from Black Waltz and Hail the Apocalypse to the narrative sweep of Feathers & Flesh, the rock-leaning Avatar Country and the harder edges of Hunter Gatherer and Dance Devil Dance. Tempos shift between stomps and waltz-like lurches; melodies cut through a dense guitar sound while keeping a heavy backbone. Breaks, crowd cues and tight stop-starts shape the flow, while lighting and staging sketch that off-kilter fairground mood tied to the band’s imagery.
