Info
Matilda Mann plays Newcastle University Students’ Union on Saturday 10 October 2026. London-born and anchored in a gentle blend of indie folk and stripped-back pop, she writes close-up songs about relationships, hesitations and everyday scenes, built on concise melodies, a central guitar and a soft, unforced delivery. After early independent releases, she assembled a run of EPs — If That Makes Sense and Because I Wanted You to Know (2020), Sonder (2021) and You Look Like You Can’t Swim (2023) — before releasing her debut album, Roxwell, in 2025. On stage, that pared-back approach leaves space for detail and shifts in dynamics, keeping the focus on the song. Her path has crossed with Arlo Parks, beabadoobee and The Staves as an opener, with a duet alongside spill tab on Borderline Insane, and harmonies for Bombay Bicycle Club on Fantasneeze, before touring Europe and the UK with Wallows. This date comes with support.
