Gilbert Montagné

Gilbert Montagné will appear at the Théâtre Femina in Bordeaux on June 20, 2027. A singer and pianist whose career has spanned decades across pop, disco and soul, he returns with L’Amour dans ses mains, a new album where his taste for groove meets more melancholic hues. On stage, his piano and keyboards take the lead, supported by contemporary arrangements that reinterpret his classics and make room for recent songs.

The program draws heavily from his repertoire: The Fool, On va s’aimer, Les Sunlights des Tropiques, Liberté, Le blues de toi and Musicienne — familiar refrains reworked with a rhythm section conceived for live performance. Between luminous ballads and more uptempo numbers, Montagné alternates between memories and new chapters, keeping to the essentials: songs carried by the keyboard and the joy of playing.

This is a concert centered on the singer-songwriter and his piano playing, driven by the desire to explore his catalogue, old and new, and to share the songs that have accompanied him since the beginning of his career.
