Gilbert Montagné returns in concert to Chaudeau-Ludres, Ludres, on April 25, 2027. A singer, songwriter and pianist, he puts back at the center what defines him: a groove rooted in soul, instantly catchy pop choruses and more intimate ballads. On stage he’s behind the keyboard for a set conceived as much for dancing as for quieter, more contemplative moments. The program will spotlight his new album, L’Amour dans ses mains, where warm rhythms meet melancholic shades, while leaving space for the songs that have marked his career: “The Fool,” “On va s’aimer,” “Les Sunlights des Tropiques,” “Liberté,” “Le Blues de toi,” “Musicienne.”

Nearly twenty years after Get Ready and almost ten years after La Niña, this new chapter asserts a direct, melodic songwriting that the artist enjoys testing live. The concert promises a back-and-forth between new material and standards, carried by his distinctive piano touch and a voice that has remained true to the essentials: songs that bring people together, between a pop pulse and contained emotion.
