Info
Sanctum of Sound is a forum for ambient, devotional, electronic, experimental, and psychedelic sound. The June edition brings together Moriaariava & Nina Pixel, Robot Koch, Anahit Vardanyan, The Four, and Jeena on 7 June 2026 at MaHalla in Berlin for a shared immersion in sound and focused listening.
Moriaariava & Nina Pixel
With Snovanie the two present their first joint live work. The Berlin-based artists of Slovak origin move between sound stations and instruments such as guzheng, piano, harmonium, gongs, and fujara. Their set spans from spatial compositions to pared-down songs and draws on old work chants that were synchronized across hills.
Robot Koch
Robot Koch will present his new album Quieter as a Berlin premiere. From soft timbres, analog synths, vibraphone, chimes, and bells—shaped on tape—emerges a calm, richly detailed music. The immersive set also includes improvisation and invites presence and deep listening.
Anahit Vardanyan
Coming from a classical background, Vardanyan combines acoustic piano with electronic textures. Through hardware effects and live processing she creates expansive ambient landscapes in which improvisation and Armenian influences lead the acoustic instrument into new spaces.
The Four
The MaHalla ensemble Music Ashram forms a quartet of guests and members. Traditions, instruments, and the venue’s current explorations meet in a curated dialogue.
Jeena
The Palestinian-Canadian musician works across listening rooms, galleries, festivals, and clubs. Using ambient, neuroacoustics, voice, and frequencies, she builds live setups that concentrate attention and foster connection.
