Wallace Cleaver

On 28 November 2026 at La Belle Electrique in Grenoble, Wallace Cleaver takes the stage with a rap that positions itself alongside the genre’s codes while embracing them.

Originally from Loir-et-Cher, he recounts in clear lyrics the journey of a provincial child to the capital, caught between lingering nostalgia, quiet ambition, stories that are beginning and those we try to forget. His attentive phrasing unfolds an intimate narrative without excess.

On stage, Wallace Cleaver is joined by PR, his pianist partner. The set relies on airy layers that open the space, then hardens when urgency demands, moving between heavy chords, minimalist rhythms and abrupt breaks. The duo likes to shift the boundaries: rap at varied tempos, detours into chanson, pop or spoken word when the text calls for it.

He comes to present Marcel, his new project, where musical accomplishment intersects with areas still raw. The record is conceived as a logbook that gains particular depth live, between hushed confidences and frank surges. A concert to follow closely a path being built in public, in Grenoble that evening.
