Imarhan

Imarhan arrive in Milan on 5 November 2026 at Circolo Arci Bellezza. Born in Tamanrasset in southern Algeria, the Tuareg group weaves tichumaren—often called desert blues—with rock, pop and Saharan funk trajectories. They sing mainly in Tamasheq and build their songs on interlaced electric guitars, tight vocal harmonies and a rhythmic approach that looks as much to local celebrations as to urban pulses. From their self-titled debut in 2016 to Temet (2018), more direct and choral, and on to Aboogi (2022), recorded in their own studio and marked by a closer, more acoustic approach, the band’s journey holds together tradition and a contemporary sound.

Live, the guitar patterns rest on elastic bass lines and mid-tempo grooves with soulful detours, while the lyrics tell of everyday life in Tamanrasset and the social transformations of the Sahara. After years of touring across North Africa, Europe and North America and collaborating within the contemporary Saharan scene, Imarhan bring to Milan a set centered on guitars, vocal harmonies and a groove capable of generating energy without special effects.
