KOKO Electronic: Uncle Waffles

Uncle Waffles brings her amapiano takeover to KOKO, London on Friday 19 June 2026. The Eswatini‑born, South Africa‑based DJ and producer has been central to the genre’s global rise since 2021, transitioning from a set that went viral to club tours and major‑stage performances. Behind the decks she weaves slow grooves, log‑drum bass and cyclical percussion, blended with melodic vocals, into a fluid, physical mix often propelled by a choreographed stage presence.

Her recorded trajectory maps the contours of her sound: Red Dragon lays down the club grammar, Asylum drives the point home with a darker tint, and Solace opens a more melodic facet without abandoning the dancefloor. Along the way she has multiplied collaborations with the new wave of amapiano artists—from Tony Duardo and Sino Msolo to Pcee—carrying this aesthetic well beyond its South African roots.
