Headache

On 2 December 2026, Headache brings a live set to HERE at Outernet, London. The project pairs British writer and poet Francis Hornsby Clark with producer Joseph Thornalley, known as Vegyn. London-based, they build pieces where voice and production meet head-on. Clark’s spoken lines move between dry observation and sharp imagery, while Thornalley lays out spacious frameworks of drums, samples and synths. The balance is tight: words set the pace, beats trace the outline, and the friction between the two carries the narrative forward.

On stage, the duo leans on timing and restraint, playing with pauses and small shifts in tone. The voice sits upfront, close and clear, while the electronics focus on detail rather than volume. No theatrics, just text and sound in constant dialogue. Headache treats literature and electronics as equal parts of the same instrument, testing how language can shape a room and how rhythm can hold it in place.
