The Allergies

The Allergies land in Leeds on 8 November 2026 at The Wardrobe with their live show built for groove lovers. From Bristol, DJ Moneyshot and Rackabeat splice funk, soul and hip-hop into tight, hook-led tracks, where brass stabs, boom bap drums and cut-and-paste samplecraft lock together. On stage, the duo sharpen that DJ culture into a performance that moves like a dance set but hits like songs, guided by turntablism, crisp production and a straight-ahead sense of rhythm.

Since their debut As We Do Our Thing in 2016, followed by Steal The Show, Say The Word and Promised Land, The Allergies have refined a sound that slides between clubs, festivals and airwaves. In live mode, they broaden the palette, often opening space for rap and soul voices alongside those warm 60s/70s textures. It’s a direct, no-frills take on modern British groove: break-led, melody-forward, and rooted in the crate-digging spirit without getting stuck in nostalgia. At The Wardrobe, expect a compact, flowing set where horn lines, soulful choruses and snapping breaks carry the room from first cut to last.
