Tigercub

Brighton trio Tigercub land at Manchester Academy, Manchester, on 22 October 2026 with a set built on tension and release. Fronted by Jamie Stephen Hall with James Allix and Jimi Wheelwright, the band balances thick, down-tuned guitars and tight, driving drums with melodic turns that open space between the impacts. Since forming in 2011, they’ve moved from early singles and the EP Repressed Semantics to tours with Royal Blood, Blood Red Shoes and Dilly Dally, refining a blend of alternative rock, indie edge and grunge undertow. Abstract Figures in the Dark pushed their writing into harder contours; Evolve or Die leaned into mobility and punch. As Blue as Indigo explored more introspective themes without dropping the weight, while The Perfume of Decay brought a darker, more direct streak. On stage, that journey lands as sharp dynamic shifts, low-end churn and hooks that cut through the haze. Expect quiet-to-loud pivots, riffs that hang heavy then give way to clear, melodic lines, and vocals that move from poised to worn. The result is a heavy, focused show rooted in today’s British rock and a grunge and noise heritage.
