Trash Boat (Slam Dunk Warmup Show)

Info

Trash Boat bring an intimate underplay ahead of Slam Dunk 2026, landing at Signature Brew Haggerston on 22 May 2026. Formed in St Albans, the band came up through the UK pop-punk circuit before leaning into a tougher blend of skate punk, melodic hardcore and post-hardcore. Across Nothing I Write You Can Change What You’ve Been Through and Crown Shyness, they tightened melodic hooks against grittier textures; Don’t You Feel Amazing? pushed toward a denser, alternative edge, a path they kept exploring on 2024’s Heaven Can Wait. From small rooms to Reading & Leeds and tours with New Found Glory and Beartooth, the five-piece learned to balance impact and melody; here they bring it back to close quarters.

Onstage, Tobi Duncan’s rasp cuts through churning guitars and punchy tempos, shifting from emo-tinged refrains to cathartic bursts without losing focus. This warmup set should move quickly across their catalogue: early breakneck cuts, the weight of Crown Shyness, and newer tracks built on thick, alternative layers that suit a compact room. A concentrated hit before the festival weekend, with the band distilling years of touring into a tight, high-energy run for fans up close.
