Gloin "make driving, dark post-punk" (BrooklynVegan), adding noise rock and industrial elements to their music as they tackle themes of bewilderment, dread and anger. Using dense rhythmic constructs, tight arrangements and urgent melodies, the Toronto band put forth tracks about perseverance and self-determination, often subverted through sarcastic commentary.
Gloin self-released their debut EP Soft Monster on 18 April 2019. Their first full-length, We Found This, arrived on 21 October 2022 via Mothland, recorded with Dylan Frankland of Tallies and mixed by Graham Walsh (Holy Fuck, METZ, Alvvays). They have toured North America, performing at SXSW, Freakout Fest, New Colossus, Sled Island and Treefort Music Fest, and have shared the stage with Snapped Ankles, Osees, Amyl & the Sniffers and A Place to Bury Strangers. All of your anger is actually shame (and I bet that makes you angry) was released on 28 March 2025 via Mothland. Gloin and Bloody/Bath perform at The Victoria Dalston on 21 May 2026 at 6:00 pm.
