Erobique

On June 6, 2026, Carsten “Erobique” Meyer brings his improvised disco show to the Freilichtbühne Weißensee in Berlin. Erobique is essentially a genre of his own: for more than 25 years he has moved between disco, funk, house and pop — always live, always at the keyboard, always in the moment. When he turns up in Berlin, the evening becomes a sweaty dance marathon in which groovy licks, daring vocal turns and suddenly emerging ballads flow seamlessly into one another — open-air, direct and unfiltered.

A self-styled last disco punk, Erobique breaks the routine of the beat-driven laptop-DJ culture. His sets are created in front of the audience: hooks grow out of jams, melodies tip into choruses, and now and then cheekily quoted wedding oldies appear, which he makes shine in new colors. Studio releases are secondary to him; his true field is the stage, where spontaneity develops its own dramaturgy.

Under the motto “Grace Under Pressure” he digs through five decades of dance music, polishes its fossils into fresh disco moments and builds a night that is more happening than concert — closer to a club, but without a safety net.
