Fat Dog

Born out of lockdown London in 2020, Fat Dog is the project of Joe Love that quickly morphed into a five-piece known for restless, high-energy live sets. Before any official releases, the band made its name on stage, then hit the road opening for Sports Team, Yard Act and Viagra Boys, and signed to Domino in 2023. Their sound knots together post-punk bite, dance-punk propulsion and upfront electronics: taut synth lines, rave-leaning rhythms and left-field detours that nod to klezmer via saxophone figures. On 14 November 2026 at O2 Victoria Warehouse in Stretford, expect a set built for movement and momentum.

Since the first single King of the Slugs (2023), Fat Dog have sketched a clear path: All the Same, Running and I Am the King in 2024 paved the way for their debut album WOOF the same year. Onstage, they push repetition and tension until it flips into release, with deadpan humor threaded through the chaos. Festival stops like End of the Road, Dublin’s Borderline and SXSW 2024 have sharpened that approach. This date catches them in their element, where raw rock energy and club instincts pull in the same direction.
