Francis of Delirium

Francis of Delirium lands at Lucia in Vienna on 4 September 2026. Launched in Luxembourg by singer-guitarist Jana Bahrich with producer and multi-instrumentalist Chris Hewett, the duo chisels an indie rock that writes in English and moves between jagged guitars, taut melodies and passages that loosen into a dreamier light. The early EPs Wading (2021) and The Funhouse (2022) set the tone with concise, introspective songs; debut album Lighthouse (2024) widens the frame without losing focus, with tracks like Real Love, First Touch, Blue Tuesday and Give It Back to Me, two of them produced by Catherine Marks.

On stage, Bahrich’s voice carries the thread while the arrangements push and pull, shifting from hushed detail to a more direct hit. The songs stay lean, with a pop sensibility kept under the surface, and a tension that comes through in the contrasts. Over the past few years, Francis of Delirium has been touring the European circuit and sharing bills with The 1975, Soccer Mommy, Horsegirl and Kings of Leon. At Lucia, the set draws across Lighthouse and the earlier releases, balancing urgency with air and leaving space for the lyrics to cut through.
