Daniel Caesar « Son of Spergy Tour »

Daniel Caesar brings his blend of contemporary R&B, soul, gospel and a restrained pop sensibility to Cologne on his Son of Spergy Tour. On 11 September 2026 he will take the stage at the Lanxess Arena, presenting songs that clearly bear his signature: pared-back arrangements, delicate harmonies, and plenty of space for voice, guitar and nuanced dynamics.

Born in Oshawa, Ontario, and raised in a religious household, Daniel Caesar (born Ashton Simmonds) fuses gospel-trained multi-part vocal harmonies with a smooth, often intimately delivered singing style. After the early EPs Praise Break (2014) and Pilgrim’s Paradise (2015), he reached a wider audience with Freudian (2017), followed by Case Study 01 (2019) and Never Enough (2023). His pieces revolve around introspective ballads and slow-grooving R&B, carried by piano, guitar and warm textures.

Known for precise songwriting and subtle melodies, he has collaborated with Kali Uchis, H.E.R., Brandy, Justin Bieber and Tyler, The Creator, without losing his own musical direction. In Cologne he brings that very balance to the fore, guiding a set that distills his development between modern soul aesthetics, gospel influences and unobtrusive pop form.
