Six60

Six60 bring their genre-crossing live sound to Òran Mór in Glasgow on 24 July 2026. Formed in 2008 within Dunedin’s student scene, the New Zealand group built its identity around the stage: songs anchored in melodies, choral refrains and grooves that slide between soul, pop rock and contemporary R&B, with touches of electronica and drum and bass woven through.

Across four records — the self-titled albums of 2011, 2015 and 2019, then Castle St in 2022 — Six60 have shifted the balance between polished pop cuts, more electronic rhythms and warmer, reggae-tinged tracks. The live set draws from that catalogue, moving from singalong moments to slower, moodier passages, with occasional lyrics in te reo Māori that underline the band’s roots.

Now performing as a quartet after the 2024 departure of founding drummer Eli Paewai, Six60 keep the focus on collective vocals, layered keys and guitars, and a direct connection with the crowd. In Glasgow, expect a tight, melodic show that blends live instrumentation and electronic textures without losing the immediacy that has defined the band since its beginnings.
