This Is Lorelei is the songwriting outlet of New York musician Nate Amos, also known for Water From Your Eyes. Started in the mid-2010s as a home-recorded project, it drifts between guitar pop, lo-fi indie and folk sketches, nudging familiar forms into new shapes while keeping melody at the center. After a long run of quietly released tracks, Box for Buddy, Box for Star (2024) marked a shift and led to broader touring across the US and Europe. With Holo Boy (2025), Amos revisits songs written between 2014 and 2021, not as a simple compilation but as new versions that connect different eras through a clearer, guitar-forward sound. On stage, he leans into intimacy and movement, letting songs slide from hushed confessionals to jangly hooks with a casual precision.
