Darkside

Darkside — the project of Chilean-American producer Nicolas Jaar and multi-instrumentalist Dave Harrington — brings its live set to EartH Theatre, London, on 12 July 2026. Formed in 2011, the duo shaped its sound through the Darkside EP, then Psychic and Spiral: electronic undercurrents meeting psych-leaning guitar, slow blues shades and a taste for experimental detail. On stage, pieces take time, leaning on repetition and subtle shifts. Harrington’s stretched, textured strings wrap around Jaar’s restrained vocals, synths and minimalist rhythms, letting grooves settle, morph and open new paths.

Often joined live by percussionist Tlacael Esparza, the project gains a more tactile, flexible pulse without losing its meditative edge. The set moves between club hypnosis and nocturnal rock, building patiently, then slipping into pockets where improvisation guides the flow. Long forms, discreet pulses and collective interplay define the arc: riffs fold into loops, melodies surface from texture, and the duo navigates that line where a band performance meets an electronic trip.
