Info
Nation of Language bring their synth-shaped post-punk to The Adrian Flux Waterfront in Norwich on 27 August 2026. The New York trio carves out songs where warm, analog-leaning synths meet taut basslines and a steady pulse, with Ian Devaney’s voice carrying a cool, melodic melancholy. Their debut, Introduction, Presence, put them on the map; A Way Forward (2021) expanded their palette and audience; and Strange Disciple (2023) refined the balance between 80s textures and a present-tense edge.
On stage, the band builds a sleek, propulsive flow, stitching older cuts to their latest material without breaking the mood. It’s a set that trades in tension and release rather than bombast, letting hooks unfold and rhythms lock in. Along the way, they’ve appeared on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and toured through festivals like Primavera Sound, Bonnaroo, Pitchfork Festival, Outside Lands, Desert Daze and Austin City Limits, shaping a live show that favors precision and motion over excess.
Special guests will join the bill, setting the tone before Nation of Language take over The Adrian Flux Waterfront.
