Starbenders

Starbenders bring their glam-tinged rock to The 1865 in Southampton on 11 June 2026. Formed in Atlanta, the quartet lines up Kimi Shelter on vocals and guitar, Aaron Lecesne on bass, Kriss Tokaji on guitar and Qi Wei on drums. On stage, they balance clean, biting riffs with punchy, sing-along choruses, blending hard rock muscle and power-pop snap under a 70s glow that never feels stuck in retro. Shelter carries the songs with a grainy, melodic delivery; Lecesne anchors the low end with driving lines; Tokaji threads agile leads and tight solos; Wei keeps everything taut and propulsive. The set draws from Love Potions (2020) and Take Back the Night (2023), with new material slipped in as the band opens its next chapter. After runs alongside Alice In Chains and Palaye Royale, Starbenders play with a focused energy that puts the songs front and center, trading in immediacy rather than excess. A straightforward rock show, high on hooks and dynamics, built for a live room.
