Osees

Osees bring their shape-shifting garage-psych to EartH, London, on 16 July 2026. Sparked in San Francisco around John Dwyer in the late 1990s, the project grew from lo-fi solo tapes into a full band now based in Los Angeles, changing names along the way — OCS, Thee Oh Sees, Oh Sees — before settling as Osees. Their path runs from early abrasive folk noise to a lean, driving sound that folds garage rock, psychedelia, punk and experimentation into hypnotic, kraut-influenced patterns. A more stable lineup in the 2000s set the tone with The Master’s Bedroom Is Worth Spending a Night In, followed by Carrion Crawler/The Dream and Floating Coffin. Rebuilt in LA, the group now operates with Tim Hellman on bass, dual drums from Dan Rincon and Paul Quattrone, and Tomas Dolas on keys, a formation that powers dense, percussive shows. On stage they thread short, tight bursts with long psych detours, pulling from Orc, Smote Reverser, Face Stabber, Protean Threat, A Foul Form, Intercepted Message and Sorcs 80.
