Sondre Lerche

Singer-songwriter, film composer and showman: Sondre Lerche is a voice of the international independent scene. Norwegian by birth from Bergen and now based in Los Angeles, he debuted at 19 with Faces Down (2001), an album that Rolling Stone included on its year-end lists and that earned him Norway’s newcomer award.

Over more than twenty years of his career, Lerche has built a sonic path where sophisticated pop, contemporary jazz, bossa nova, introspective folk and electronic music coexist. The trilogy Please (2014), Pleasure (2017) and Patience (2020) is central to his output. In 2022 the double album Avatars of Love broadened his scope through international collaborations (AURORA, CHAI), while the EP Turning Up The Heat Again (January 2026) opens a new creative chapter.

Live, Lerche delivers energetic, finely crafted sets, from stages shared with St. Vincent and Elvis Costello to NPR’s Tiny Desk, and including performances for the Norwegian royal family. On November 22, 2026 at 5:30 PM he will be at Baumhaus, Bologna.
