Info
On 4 July 2026 at Lytham Green, Lytham Saint Annes, Pet Shop Boys bring more than four decades of electronic pop to Lytham Festival. Formed in London in 1981, Neil Tennant and Chris Lowe shape sharp melodies and synth architecture with lyrics shaded by irony and melancholy. From West End Girls and the early albums Please, Actually and Behaviour to later turns through Very, Nightlife and Fundamental, the duo has kept a dialogue with club culture while writing chart-ready songs. Recent releases Electric, Hotspot and Nonetheless carry that thread, folding electro-pop drive, dance remixes and orchestral colour. On stage, they mix singles and deep cuts, arranged for a large outdoor crowd.
Scissor Sisters share the bill with their glam-and-disco-influenced pop. Born in New York’s queer nightlife in the early 2000s, the group coalesced around Jake Shears and Babydaddy with Del Marquis, blending theatrical hooks and club energy. A cover of Comfortably Numb led to the 2004 debut, then Ta-Dah in 2006 with Elton John on I Don’t Feel Like Dancin’, and the more dancefloor-focused Night Work in 2010 with Stuart Price. After a pause, the band returned in 2024 as a trio of Jake Shears, Babydaddy and Del Marquis. At Lytham Green, they present hits and dancefloor-minded cuts suited to a festival evening.
