On 14 October 2026 at Symphony Hall, Birmingham, Steve Hackett presents Best of Genesis & Solo Gems, revisiting the progressive years he helped shape and the solo path he has pursued since. As Genesis’s guitarist from 1971, he contributed to Nursery Cryme, Foxtrot, Selling England by the Pound and The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. He then opened a prolific solo chapter with Voyage of the Acolyte, Spectral Mornings and the acoustic Bay of Kings, later extending his palette with Genesis Revisited, At the Edge of Light and Surrender of Silence.
On stage, the show alternates sustained electric leads and 12-string textures, extended instrumental sections and quiet acoustic interludes, arranged with orchestral touches. The set draws on classic Genesis material from the early 70s alongside standout moments from his own catalogue, revisited with the clarity and detail that define his guitar work.
