Kraftwerk: Multimedia Tour 2026

Info

Kraftwerk bring their Multimedia Tour 2026 to Theatre Royal & Royal Concert Hall, Nottingham, on 8 June 2026. Formed in Düsseldorf in 1970 by Ralf Hütter and Florian Schneider, the group moved from experimental krautrock beginnings to a precise, melodic electronic writing with Autobahn, then shaped the robot pop aesthetic across Radio-Activity, Trans-Europe Express, The Man-Machine, Computer World and Electric Café. Their themes—technology, transport, data, everyday modern life—still frame the way they build sound and image on stage.

Under the direction of Ralf Hütter since 2008, Kraftwerk’s live show is a tightly synced mix of sequenced rhythms, processed voices and projections that recast their catalogue for today. Expect streamlined versions and fresh arrangements that trace the group’s trajectory from early synth lines to the motorik pulse and digital sheen of later works, including Tour de France Soundtracks. The concert plays with repetition and variation, making melody, machine groove and visuals lock together. More than a run-through of classics, it’s a continuous set where tracks connect like circuits, letting the group’s minimalist hooks and mechanical poetry unfold in real time.
