Conceived as a live ensemble built around long-serving musicians, the project puts playing, arrangement and collective alchemy back at the forefront. Expect a tight sound, crisp guitars, a driving rhythm section and vocals carried by clear harmonies, with careful attention to textures and nuance.
At the heart of the lineup is Tony Visconti. A producer, arranger and bassist trained on both sides of the Atlantic and based in London since 1968, he has shaped records that have left a mark on rock—from glam to art rock—working alongside Marc Bolan and T. Rex as well as David Bowie, from the late 1960s through to Blackstar. On stage, his bass and his sense of arrangement add depth to the structures, balancing nerve and suppleness.
Opposite him, Woody Woodmansey on drums and Glenn Gregory on vocals set the tone: a crisp attack, melodic tension and an unadorned stage presence. Together, Holy Holy performs these songs with a direct dynamism, privileging the effectiveness of motifs, the clarity of lines and collective energy.
