Info
On Thursday 19 November 2026, KK’s Steel Mill in Wolverhampton welcomes Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats alongside The Wytches. Two visions of dark, fuzzed-out rock meet for a bill that leans into psychedelia, garage grit and tense atmospheres.
Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, formed in Cambridge around singer-guitarist Kevin Starrs, push a heavy, late‑60s‑tinged rock steeped in doom, psych and garage. Riffs come thick and saturated, vocals stack in eerie harmonies, and the imagery nods to B‑movies and pulp crime. From the cult spark of Blood Lust through Mind Control and The Night Creeper to Wasteland and the cinematic sweep of Nell’ Ora Blu, the band has carved a tight soundworld where groove, menace and melody lock in. On stage, expect slow-burn tension, fuzz-soaked hooks and a patient, hypnotic drive.
Brighton’s The Wytches open with a raw blend of garage rock, surf accents, psych haze and post‑punk angles. First heard with Annabel Dream Reader and refined on All Your Happy Life, they’ve since pushed a grittier independent streak across Three Mile Ditch and Our Guest Can’t Be Named, followed by the Replica and Talking Machine releases. Sharp guitars, nervy rhythms and a melodic gloom give their songs a direct, compact hit built for the live room.
