Info

On 23 August 2026, The Cure headline Edinburgh Summer Sessions at the Royal Highland Centre in Ingliston. Guided by Robert Smith, the band moves between stark post‑punk, gothic shades and pop-inflected new wave, threading slow tempos, foggy atmospheres and melodic guitar lines. From early minimalism to the expansive writing of Disintegration and the hooks of Wish, their live set navigates the full arc of their sound.

Slowdive bring their signature shoegaze blend of reverb-heavy guitars, airy voices and dream‑pop melody. From Souvlaki to the 2023 album Everything Is Alive, they balance enveloping textures with clear, unhurried songcraft that unfolds patiently on stage.

Mogwai extend the evening into instrumental terrain: long builds, clear dynamic contrasts and pared-back themes colored by synths and electronics. Across records like Young Team, Rock Action and Every Country’s Sun, their music pivots from near-silence to saturated crescendos with cinematic intent.

Opening, Just Mustard from Dundalk fuse shoegaze, trip‑hop and post‑rock. Distorted guitars, deep bass and careful sound design frame Katie Ball’s ethereal vocal. After Heart Under, the new album We Were Just Here pivots toward a leaner, brighter energy without losing the band’s hypnotic edge.
